Yanlai Dance Academy - Our Invitation to Elegance
Established in August 2004, Yanlai Dance Academy (formerly Oriental Star Dance School) is a professional dance school in the tri-state area teaching its students a unique range of dance forms including fundamentals of Ballet, Tap, Jazz, Modern/Contemporary dance and traditional folk and classical Chinese dance. The school is open to students from age 3 years to adult, regardless of ethnicity, nationality or previous dance experience. The founder and principal instructor - Yanlai Wu, a renowned professional dancer from China, has over 30 years experiences and performed throughout the world.
At Yanlai Dance Academy, classes are taught by Yanlai Wu and fellow instructors who are able to share their world-class training and experience with students. All classes are taught in English and we group our students based on age, general dance skills and experiences. Yanlai Dance Academy hosts school recitals to expand our students' performance experiences. Additionally, our students are often invited to perform at many public events throughout the tri-state area, an honor few other dance programs in the region can claim. Many of our students also participate in local, regional and national dance competitions and have won numerous awards. Overall, the Academy helps to increase our student's confidence in performance by supporting them in pursuing various performance opportunities that fit individuals and group skill levels.Our teaching methods help to spark our students' imaginations as well as to improve their physical wellness. Private lessons can be individually arranged with teachers based on student interests and teacher availability.
