

CHRISTOPHER FELLOWS
Christopher Fellows is native of Ithaca, New York where he began dancing with Ithaca Ballet at the age of seven. He began intensively studying the Vaganova syllabus with Rafael Grigorianin 1991, and attended The School of American Ballet on scholarship from 1993-1995. He also received summer training from Central Pennsylvania Youth Ballet and the Chautauqua Festival Dancers. Mr. Fellows was invited to apprentice with the Chautauqua Ballet Company at the age of 15. Upon graduating high school, he joined the Alabama Ballet under the direction of Dame Sonia Arova. In 1998, he joined the Joffrey Ballet of Chicago where he remained until becoming a member of Milwaukee Balletin 2002.
Mr. Fellows retired from active performance in 2008 to pursue a career as a Ballet teacher. During his career, Mr. Fellows had original works created on him by choreographers’ such as Lee Wei Chao, Foye DuBose, Rafael Grigorian, Michael Pink, Kathryn Posin, Margot Sappington, Thor Sutowski, Nelly Van Bommel and Petr Zahradnicek. He also danced leading roles in ballets such as Romeo & Juliet, Swan Lake, The Nutcracker, Dracula, Giselle, Carmina Burana, The Taming of the Shrew, and The Moor’s Pavane. He served as Director of the Classical Ballet Division at Dance FX Academy in Toledo, Ohio from 2008-2014. He has taught for Alabama School of Fine Arts, Milwaukee Ballet School, Danceworks Milwaukee, and Point Park University and has been a guest instructor for Ithaca Ballet, Rafael Grigorian Ballet Theater, Huntingdon Dance Academy, and Illinois Youth Dance Academy. Mr. Fellows will be completing his bachelor of arts in ballet pedagogy at Point Park University this summer.
