Payment Options and Discounts

Dancers have the option to pay either in three installments or annually.  The annual price is about 10% less than paying in installments.

  • Annual payment is due by the first class of the Fall semester (Aug 24th).

  • Installment payments are due the first class Fall (Aug 24th), Winter (Dec 4th) and Spring (Mar 7th) semesters.

  • An additional 5% discount is available for the second (or third ...) student(s) from the same family.

Registration Fee

Registration fee of $40 per student or family is required for each school year and is due by the first class of the Fall semester.

  • The registration fee will be waived if you register by end of spring semester for the following fall semester.

  • All fees are non-refundable and non-transferable.

Payment Terms

  1. Tuition is due by the first class of the semester, based on the payment method chosen.

  2. A late payment fee of $15 will be assessed for every 10 days after the payment due date.

  3. A $25 service fee is charged for each returned check.

  4. At the beginning of each school year, there is a one-month grace period when students can withdraw from the class and receive a prorated refund of the tuition.

  5. After the first month, the tuition is only transferable to next semester or a prorated refund can be issued in the following circumstances:

    1. The YDA permanently cancels a class or alters the schedule in a way which prevents a student from being able to attend in this semester.

    2. Student withdrawal due to severe illness or injury, family emergency, relocation out of the area, etc.

  6. No refunds will be issued due to a student’s absence or school cancellation due to uncontrollable circumstances (weather, power outage, mandatory evacuation etc). A make-up class is provided in the same semester. The student should ask the instructor for the make-up class schedule.

Performance Costume, DVD,  and Picture Fees will be announced during the school year.

Performance

Yanlai Dance Academy provides many performance opportunities throughout the year for dancers to share the stage with local and performing artists. Dancers gain confidence to express themselves, acquire stage experience build team spirit, and as well as improve social skills. Thus, participation in performances enhances personal characters as well as dance ability. So we strongly encourage our students to attend as many performances as possible if their schedule permits. Especially for the group dance your attendance will be very important to other dance-mates. If you can’t commit to the performance please immediately tell us, at most within a week after you get performance schedule.

We also encourage YDA students to participate individually in any dance competitions or some of performances that are not sponsored by YDA. However, students are required to inform Yanlai in advance of such an event. Prior to the performance, an announcement should be made both verbally and in the program book that the performer is a student from YDA.

School Annual Public Performance

YDA’s annual public performance is a non-profit event created for our students to showcase their talents. In order to cover the operational costs, we need each family to sell a minimum of four tickets. Please note that the family members of the student (parents, grandparents, siblings) will also need tickets to attend the performance. The design of the annual performance program is strictly at the discretion of the school director. Thank you for your support in advance!
